President’s Message

The Officers and Directors of The Rotary Club of Wichita are committed to RI President Wilf Wilkinson’s theme, Rotary Shares. For example, a group of our newer members have embraced our newest Community Service project, the distribution of dictionaries to the third graders of USD 259 before the winter holiday season this year.

Our club continues to support Reading is Fundamental (RIF) by providing funding through our Charitable Fund for the distribution of books to Title One schools in Wichita three times a year.  We also will continue to Ring the Bell for the Salvation Army during the holidays and have just finished another home through Habitat for Humanity.

Our 2007-2008 Mission states, among other things, our Club will be supportive of promoting fellowship within the club, make a visible impact on our community and address worldwide humanitarian needs through Rotary International. Our programs will continue to educate, entertain and promote local business and civic initiatives. We will be supportive of The Rotary Foundation as well as our local Wichita Rotary Charitable Fund.

The membership of our club is vibrant and alive with energy. Being a member of The Rotary Club of Wichita, Club 30 in the world and a proud member of District 5690 is both an honor and a pleasure for all.
