Social Firesides will take place on September 15, 2014, from 5-7 pm.  This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know your fellow Rotarians in a social setting at the home of a member.  Fill out the registration to indicate your desire to attend.  You will be notified the week before by your host/hostess with specific information and directions.  You will be assigned a fireside in order to balance the members/guests at each home.

Wichita Rotary President & High Touch CEO Accept ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Rotary President Arlen Honts and High Touch President and CEO accepted the ice-bucket challenge on behalf of ALS at Botanica after the meeting on Monday. Wayne challenged the Chamber of Commerce President Gary Plummer and Rotary club ED Patty Brown. Arlen challenged all Wichita-area Rotary club presidents, Rotaract and Interact clubs, along with their mentors, Rotarians Prisca Barnes and Sue Tirukonda. Arlen also challenged current Rotary District Governor Martin Bauer!

USA Dictionary Project

The Rotary Club of Wichita participates in the USA Dictionary Project annually, which allows us to provide a hardback Scholastic Dictionary to each third grader in our local Title I schools in School District 259. This year we will distribute over 2,700 dictionaries.
